Hi! I’m Judith (often shortened to Jude). I’m a writer and editor. I love books, fiction and nonfiction, that are trying to change the world, in whatever way they can. Whether a fantasy book with a heroine who challenges a religious authoritative regime, to a a self-help book that gently encourages rest, or a history book that brings a fresh perspective on British Columbia’s formation, I work with authors who want to make a difference. As an editor, I work with you to make your story as clear and engaging as it can be. I offer supportive feedback and flexible processes that accommodate your needs.
I have twenty years experience writing nonfiction as a researcher at the Work Foundation, as an Associate Professor at Mount Allison University, and as a consultant in North Yorkshire and in Denmark. I have edited nonfiction work in the social sciences, humanities, and self-help genres. I love gardening and food so have also edited a collection of essays about gardens as well as a cookbook designed for improvisational cooking. I am extraordinary at fact-checking and tracking down references.
I am also a historical fiction writer (my author webpage is jehdoylewriter.ca) and love all fiction. I have edited science fiction, contemporary fantasy, and romantasy books.
